How truly happy are you?
by Freeof1914 ini am just curious to hear of some you who have left the org completely, how happy are you?
in my situation i feel like i am on a precipice and about to make a leap into the unknown.
since i have told my family elders and wife that i will mo longer go to the meetings or out on service i feel as if a load has been lifted.

Holy disproportionate response, Batman! Emotional icebergs
by rebel8 inthe term "emotional icebergs" simply means that only a small portion of an emotion and reason for it are apparent.
the majority is "below the surface", not known to bystanders and sometimes not even known to the individual experiencing it.
if you notice a disproportionate emotional response to something, an iceberg may be the reason.

Interesting. I have noticed that some things provoke an immediate emotional response for me even though there's no valid reason. It's something I need to keep working on.

by Was New Boy inthey say the average person will own about 25 cars in their life time.. from 1982 to 1988 i owned a 1971 dodge challenger convertible.
it had a 340 with a 4 speed stick.
i loved that car.. i didnt cry when my wife left me....i did cry when that car drove out of my life!.

My first car was a 1981 Chevy Citation. It was an awful piece of crap. My next car was an 88 Toyota pickup - ran great until it met an untimely death at the rearend of a Buick. In all, Just Ron and I have owned only nine cars in the combined 52 years we've been driving. We keep cars until they die - we still have a 93 Ford F350 crew cab (although we don't drive it much)
